The wind was blustery and the boat rocked us to sleep last night as we sheltered behind the scant protection of the floating breakwater, but it calmed down in the early hours and we were not too bothered. After a lazy morning, we got going about 10:30, having decided to spend a night at the Port of Edmonds marina, rather than anchor in Port Madison, which is apparently very crowded with mooring balls. We made the 15.6 miles to Edmonds in 2.3 hours, motoring the whole way under overcast skies and very light wind. After a walk up into Edmonds to sample the delights of town - pretty little shopping district, but we did not buy anything - we came back to work on tidying up the boat a bit more. We ended up spending the entire afternoon reorganizing the storage under the forepeak bunk. Naturally, right at the end of the exercise, we discovered that the forward water tank (under the bunk) has been leaking again; it does not appear to be an active leak, so I think it is only occurring when we fill the water tank. This happened to us about 4 years ago and then I patched a pin-hole leak in the top of the tank with epoxy. No evidence of a similar leak this time, so it may just be that the fill and/or vent hose were not tight against their respective barb fittings; we will have to watch this the next time we fill up. After refreshing showers, we had a light meal at Anthony’s. Then, early to bed.
