We all slept in until well past 08:00. After breakfast and a check of the weather forecast, we decided to move over to Sidney Spit. Although the forecast was sunny, it was low overcast and light rain when we pulled out from the dock at 11:00. We found an empty mooring ball at Sidney Spit and were tied up before noon. The rain was slacking off to a practically undetectable drizzle, so we rowed ashore and went for a walk along the spit. At our farthest point of departure from the boat, the rain intensity increased and I was pretty well soaked by the time we got back to the boat; everyone else had had the good sense to bring a waterproof jacket, so they were fine. We came back to the boat for a late lunch and waited for the weather to improve, which it finally did about 20:00. But by then, the tide was up and we had already had happy hour and dinner aboard, so we contented ourselves with watching the sunset from the cockpit. After a beautiful sunset, we all turned in just after 22:00.
