Some of us were up before 08:00; a serious breach of protocol - a tribunal may be convened later. It has finally warmed up nicely; to the extent that Jim and I both put on shorts to start the day. We got going about 09:15 and motored out into the stream, up the north end of Captain Passage, north between Saltspring and Prevost Islands and across Trincomali Channel to Montague Harbour, where we picked up a mooring ball at 11:30. We immediately unshipped Swallow and rowed ashore, thinking we would catch the bus to the Hummingbird Inn for lunch; but, the bus does not start running until 17:00. So, we went on a walk around Montague Harbour Marine Park, mainly Gray Point, instead. Back on board for lunch, we decided to move over to James Bay on Prevost Island, where we anchored in 7.5 m of water at 15:15. Once again, we immediately rowed ashore and walked out to Piele Point at the extreme north end of Prevost Island. It was a strenuous walk and along the way, we had a good look at about 30 sea lions basking on the rocks and a skeleton of a good sized boar or pig or sheep, picked clean. It started to sprinkle as we got back to the beach and we made it back to the boat before we got too wet. Happy hour and dinner (lamb chops, etc.) aboard; life is good.
