Ah, we had a lovely, still night at anchor, with no wind and glassy calm water.  Unfortunately, I woke up at 04:00, anyway and could not get back to sleep. I finally gave up at 05:30 and got out of bed; Terri was only a few minutes behind me. After an early breakfast, enjoying the absolute stillness of Judd Harbor, we decided we may as well head out. So, the engine was fired up and we had the anchor aweigh by 08:07. It was flat calm out on the Dixon Entrance with never more than NW 5 the whole way across. We motored every foot of the way with hardly a ripple on the sea surface the whole way. Until we got into Venn Passage, where we were rudely waked by 4 or 5 sport fishing boats tearing through this narrow passage at full speed less than 50 ft away from us. We were tied up at the Cow Bay Marina at 16:30. I called Canada Customs immediately and got straight through to an officer in Ottawa, who cleared us in within 2 minutes. To avoid the Saturday rush, we decided to pop over to the fuel dock and top up the tank now. We were back tied up at the marina, having bought 105.6 liters (27.79 US gallons) of diesel, by 17:12.

Today was a lay day. We did laundry, filled a propane tank (that just went empty this morning), filled up the forward water tank and did a major grocery shop. And that was pretty much it for the day. I played guitar in the cockpit for a bit as the sun set.
