The bloody smoke-detector/fire alarm blasted me out of a sound sleep at 05:45; false alarm, of course. After I finally got it silenced and my heart-rate returned to normal, we were able to get back to sleep and did not wake up until 08:45. After breakfast, we walked up into town for a look around and a coffee and croissant at Barb’s Buns. While there, we decided we did not need to stay at the marina for another night and so, decided to move on to Annette Inlet or James Bay for the night. We got back to the boat and cast off the dock lines just before noon, and then motored over to James Bay. As there was only one other boat in there at the time, we anchored inside them in 12 m WD at 12:53. Shortly after we anchored, a couple of wooden schooners (“Pacific Swift” and “Pacific Grace”) came in and anchored further out in the bay; they are full of high-school aged kids on some kind of adventure. After lunch, we went for a short walk in the marine park. There was no fruit on the trees and the trail was not is very good shape, so it was not a long walk. We had a couple of light rain showers throughout the afternoon and evening. We spent the rest of the evening watching the Astros get beat by the Mariners.
