We had a nice night in James Bay and awoke expecting a light SE wind, only to find that the wind was NW 10-15, having shifted ahead of schedule.  The “Pacific Swift” and “Pacific Grace” started getting under way, so we decided to get going about 09:45 and motored out of James Bay, into the wind. After we turned the corner into Trincomali Channel, the wind was behind us and we turned off the engine and sailed with 12 kn of wind behind us. We were able to carry sail all the way down through Navy Channel and into the entrance to Winter Cove. The anchor was down at 12:42 and we had lunch. After lunch, we went ashore for a walk in the Provincial Marine Park. This is a very nice park with a good 1.75 km trail that leads out to the point, where we could watch the tidal current ripping through Boat Pass at an estimated 5 kn. Back at the boat, we listened to more of “The Law of Innocence”, Michael Connelly, until dinner time. After that, we watched the Astros beat Seattle, to keep their play-off hopes alive.
