We awoke refreshed at 07:30. After breakfast, we decided to get going, hopefully before the wind got up. This time the anchor came up relatively clean and we pulled out into Principe Channel about 09:20. The wind in the channel was SE 5-10, right on the nose, but the seas were not bad. Just after 10:30, the wind was up to SE 20 and the seas were already up to 3 ft. We were still moving comfortably enough but I was concerned that our SOG was down to 5.8 kn and we still had nearly 2.5 hours to go until the turn into Weinburg Inlet, so we turned off into Monckton Inlet, which was immediately to port, to wait out the forecast winds. We were inside Monckton Inlet, and out of the wind, by 11:10 and were anchored deep in the inlet by 12:15, in 17 m WD. It rained a bit in the afternoon and the wind gusted and went round the clock a couple of times, but we were secure at our anchorage.  Hopefully, tomorrow, we can move a little further south, although the forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday is not too encouraging. Later in the afternoon, we watched the Astros @ Boston; Astros won 13-5.
