The dawn broke clear and calm, with a few high mare’s tails; weather in the offing? After a leisurely breakfast, we got the hook up at 10:50 and headed over to Dixie Cove, fishing all the way; again, without result. Dixie Cove is another bullet proof anchorage; although we had 15 kn of wind out in Pinnace Channel, it was essentially calm in the inner cove. No other boats came in during the day. John and I filled up solar showers and a few collapsible jerry jugs with water from a fresh water stream that emptied into the cove. The water was warm enough for a swim, but the clouds came in about 16:00 and cooled the air temperature off enough that no-one ventured in. After happy hour and dinner aboard, we played Bananagrams until bed-time, but that is a story for another place and time.
