Another rough night fighting Terri’s sinus or upper respiratory infection, but we were up at 06:40 and straight out the door to the marina. The engine was on and warming up by 07:15 and Terri helped me get off the dock at 07:24. I was fighting the current all the way, but I still got to the haulout slip at Latitude Marine by 07:52. The boys took a couple of hours to get the boat out of the water, power-washed and moved over and blocked up in the yard. In the meantime, Mike (the owner) and I had a good chat and went through the full list of work. The rudder is not as bad as I thought it was, but needs a bit of cosmetic fairing. The bottom pain held up pretty well, so we will just top up the leading edges and waterline this year. Mike and I had a long chat about the wood-work at the bottom of the starboard companionway bulkhead; I hope this does not cost more than a new boat. That is it for the 2022 cruising season. The season stats are listed below.

We finally got away from the yard at 13:30, stopped by the post office to mail the oil sample, grabbed a sandwich from the Pioneer Market deli, which we ate on the road. Then, we had to stop at Marine Safety Services in Seattle to get the life-raft and EPIRB serviced. While there, I was talking to the lead technician about the PLB false-alarm and he mentioned that I should get the battery replaced, as it was operating for 2 hours. So, I did that, too. We headed east out of Seattle at about 15:30; we were only going to Ellensburg for the night, but it took 3 hours to get there because of a long road-works delay on the east side of the Cascades. We grabbed a bite on the way into town and got to the hotel just before 20:00. After showers, we finished watching the Astros whup up on the Diamondbacks, before calling it a night.
