We awoke to another cloudless, warm morning. After breakfast, Laurie went for a long walk up the creek to experience some of what she missed yesterday. She got back at 11:00 and we got going immediately. Massilia fished all the way to the Bunsby Islands and even caught a good sized rockfish. We still have 3 or 4 meals worth of salmon, so did not bother, but just motored on over to Scow Bay, where we anchored at 13:10. On the way out of Clanninick Cove, we cruised within a few feet of a raft of ~25 otters; they ignored us until we were virtually amongst them, so Terri got dozens of photos. After lunch, Terri and I went for a long row around the lagoon to the east of our anchorage. When we got back, another boat (“Figure Eight”, Dufour 45(ish), out of Vancouver) had anchored in the bay, having come round Brooks Peninsula from Winter Harbour - ~45 N-m. We had a lovely evening and were treated to a stunning sunset over the Brooks range, with a cloud formation pouring over the higher peaks and down toward the sea. We took hundreds of photos between us.
