Up early to a cool, but clear morning. We got the boat ready to go, then moved over to the fuel dock to pump out the forward holding tank. While there, since we were pointing more or less into the wind, we hoisted the jib. About 11:00, we finally got away from the dock and headed out into Rockland Harbor. The wind was NNW 15-20, so we immediately got the sail up and turned the engine off for the beat up to Rockport, which is only about 6 miles away. We sailed all the way to Rockport harbor and picked up a mooring ball at 13:30. After lunch, we rowed into town for a nice walk. There is nothing going on in Rockport; the only restaurant is closed for refurbishment and the only art gallery was just closed. So, we rowed back to “c’est le bon” for dinner aboard. It is good to be finally back under way.
