As soon as the sun got up, it was hot again, so we were awake early again. We still lazed around a bit over breakfast and coffee and finally dropped the mooring at 09:30 and caught the max ebb current back down the river. Back at sea, the breeze was quite refreshing, although, naturally, smack on the nose again - what a surprise. We motored SW straight into the wind for 4 hours, passing Cape Neddick and turning up into the York River at 13:45. We picked up a York Town mooring ball ($30) at 14:00. We also stopped here in 2014. After a quick, late lunch, we went for a long walk around town in 96 F heat - almost like Houston, except we rarely go for long walks in Houston in heat like this. However, fortified by an ice cream and, later, a beer at the Cellar Pub, it was a pleasant, if somewhat sweaty exercise. The Cellar Pub is laid out like the cabin of a large opulent yacht, with dark mahogany paneling, low, curved roof beams and small, intimate nooks with leather-covered benches; nice atmosphere and the beer was quite agreeable. Back to the boat at about 18:00 for a late happy hour and dinner aboard. It had clouded up by then and the sea-breeze had set in, so it was pleasantly cool by then.
