John’s alarm went off at 05:00, but it was still dark and we all ignored it and went back to sleep. We woke about 07:00 to a cool, clear morning with light N wind. Away from the mooring ball by 08:30, we motored out down the Westport River and out into the west end of Buzzards Bay. We motor-sailed all the way to Block Island, where we picked up a town mooring ball at 13:00. After lunch, we rowed ashore and walked into town for a visit to North Shore Yarns (the alpaca place) and a bit of shopping. We topped up the boat’s larders and came back in time for happy hour and dinner aboard. Laurie, poor thing, is still in Toronto helping to look after her ailing mother. Wish she was here. John and I played a few songs before bed.
