We awoke about 07:30 to a cool, crystal clear morning with light southwesterlies. After the pump-out boat finally came around to do its business, we rowed ashore, rented bikes and rode over to the SE lighthouse and then on around the island and back to town. We all took showers at the very basic town public baths, did a bit more grocery shopping before turning in the bikes and having a late lunch at the Oar Restaurant. We were back on board by 15:00 and sailed off the mooring at 15:40 to catch the afternoon flood up Long Island Sound. Out of the Great Salt Pond, the wind was SW 13 - 17, so we had a fine sail on a close reach all the way to Lords Passage at the east end of Fischers Island. Running through the passage on the flood, we were doing 9.0+ knots SOG for a while. After another couple of miles, we turned south into East Harbor and anchored at 18:25. 18.4 Nautical miles in 2.7 hours, all under sail.
