Contrary to yesterday, Boothbay was beautiful and clear with a fresh NW breeze; so, no fog! We pumped out the holding tanks, had a stroll around town again and got underway just after 10:00. We motored out of Boothbay, then got the sails up for a nice run around Pemaquid Neck, across Muscongus Bay, passing within 3 miles of Monhegan Island, turning NE at Old Man Ledge buoy for the final stretch to Tenants Harbor. We picked up a mooring ball at Tenants Harbor Boatyard (established 1605) at 15:00. This is a working lobster port and we were right beside Art’s Lobsters dock to watch them unload all afternoon. After we settled in, we went for a walk around town, but it is just a collection of a few houses, presumably owned by lobstermen and, of course, mainly summer/weekend houses for the rich southerners. Dinner aboard: salmon and trimmings. 43-57.908’N, 069-12.258’W.
