We slept like babies under a sheet and two blankets. The lobstermen all started going to work just after first light and we were up shortly thereafter, or about 06:30. It is only 15 miles to Rockland, but we left early to make sure we had time to check out the Farnsworth Museum, which has a collection of Wyeth (N.C., Andrew and James) paintings that we wanted to see. We tied up at Journey’s End Marina at 12:30 and shortly later headed up to the museum. Arriving back at the boat in time for happy hour, I was surprised to hear someone call my name; I turned and saw Bernie O’C striding down the dock toward us. Another friend, Chris, who we are hoping to meet later, had told him we were here, so he came down for a chat. He stopped for a beer, then we all went to dinner at 3Crows and had a very pleasant evening. Bernie and Chris (and wife Jill) are leaving on Monday a 5 day cruise on a 3 masted former coastal trading sailing ship (“Victory Chimes”), now earning her keep taking tourists on coastal cruises around Maine. Back to the boat about 23:00. 44-06.235’N, 069-06.128’W.
