After the storms past, it was a quiet night. We woke to a lovely, cool, but bright and clear morning. We got underway just after 09:00, headed south on East Penobscot Bay and turned east into Eggemoggin Reach. The wind was fair going into the reach, so we shut down the engine and had a nice sail all the way to Brooklin, including a detour, under sail, through horse-shoe-shaped Buck’s Harbor and a long spinnaker run down Eggemoggin Reach. We picked up a mooring at Brooklin Harbor and took the dinghy into the dock for a walk into the local grocery store. It was a nice walk, but not much going on in Brooklin. The day was just lovely, with a high of about 68F. The forecast high for the next ten days is 65F. The leaves on some of the deciduous trees are just starting to turn. Just about time to start running south. Happy hour and dinner aboard. 44-15.700’N, 068-35.183’W.
