Another beautiful day in paradise; the day dawned clear and warm with a light westerly breeze. We hauled the anchor and got underway just after 09:00 and headed SW down Killarney Bay, south of Badgeley Island, leaving Badgeley Point to starboard as we turned north up into Frazer Bay. Then, it was between McGregor Point and Frazer Point into the very narrow entrance to Baie Fine. Once inside Baie Fine, it is another 5 or 6 miles to the eastern finger, through another very narrow, shallow and rock-strewn straight to finally get to The Pool, which everyone agrees, is a “must stop” on the tour of the North Channel. We expected to find a hundred boats in The Pool, but there were only a dozen or so, with plenty of room for us, so we went in and anchored about 13:30. After lunch, the Admiral, Diane and I walked 20 minutes up to Lake Topaz, which is actually a deep blue-green color, for a nice swim. Then, back to the boat for another swim, followed by cocktails on “Islandia”. Another beautiful anchorage; we are only 2.25 miles from where we started this morning, but the distance over the water was more than 10 times that distance. After dinner aboard, we had another excellent planning session with Bob and Diane.
