Blissful, pleasant quiet night in The Pool. We were up and moving by 09:00, but it took 30 minutes to get the anchor up and cleaned off; we pulled up about 50 pounds of weed, which was all wrapped around the chain and anchor. We finally had to cut it off with a knife. The exit trip out of The Pool and through the two narrows at the east and west ends of Baie Fine was without incident, primarily since we simply followed our inbound track. After departing Baie Fine, we turned south and headed down to Boyle Cove, where we rafted up to “Islandia” at noon for a quick lunch, after which, we dinghied over to the adjacent Devil Bay to look for fossil amongst the limestone rocks on the beach. The Admiral found several souvenirs from the Cretaceous Age; little centipede-like creatures and spiral shells from 300 - 330 million years ago. In the meantime, I constructed an excellent Inukshuk, which will no doubt amaze visitors for years to come.

By 13:45, we were on our way again, headed for Heywood Back Bay, on the north side of Heywood Island. This anchorage appears to offer us very good protection from the forecast NE 20 winds early tomorrow morning. The hook was down at 14:45. After we settled in, we spent a few minutes tightening up the bolts which support the tiller control motor housing (of the Auto-pilot); they had all worked a bit loose and the unit was moving in its mount relative to the bulkhead. We shared this anchorage with “Adanaco” (O Canada, backwards).
