After a good nights sleep, we were up just after 07:00, had breakfast and weighed anchor at 08:30. Although the wind was E5, we motored for the first hour as we worked through the islands, rocks, reefs and shoals until we were south of Whitcher I. By then, the wind was up to E9, so we hoisted the A-sym, turned off the engine and had a nice sail for a bit more than an hour, when the wind died down to less than E6. We motored the rest of the way to W. Grant I, where we dropped the hook at 13:35. Then, it was into the dinghy for a run ashore to look for fossils; we found loads of them, but they are all just shellfish, laid down in some limestone layer a couple hundred million years ago or so. This anchorage is a bit exposed to the E and SE, so after we loaded up with fossils, we upped anchor and motored a couple of miles back to E. Grant I., where we anchored all along just after 15:00; not very many people stop in here during the course of a season. This is our last night in Canada, so we cooked up all the remaining meat and made an effort to reduce our stores of alcohol before we check in with our good buddies at Customs and Border Patrol tomorrow.
