Awoke to sunshine and light SW winds, so we decided to head for Sag Harbor, NY. The wind was on the nose all the way, so we motored the full distance arriving at Sag Harbor at noon. En route, we traversed Napeague Bay and Gardiners Bay to the south of Gardiners Island, and finally entered Shelter Island Sound before making Sag Harbor. Sag Harbor is a very sheltered harbor set in a beautiful location south of Shelter Island and just west of East Hampton. After lunch, we rowed ashore to sample the delights of Sag Harbor. Not much going on this time of year, but we visited the Whaling Museum and had a nice walk around town. Spring has finally arrived; it got up to 80F today and we had our first showers on the transom. However, the water is still too cold to go swimming: 52F.
