A big thunderstorm came through about 05:00 and woke us from a sound sleep with a violent crash of thunder and lightning. After that, we were a bit slow getting up. The rain persisted throughout the morning, as we made our way to Dawsons Landing. The anchor was up at 10:45 and we motored all the way to Dawsons, arriving there at 12:30. The entire afternoon was occupied with grocery shopping, laundry, filling water tanks/solar showers/water butts, and transferring the contents of the 5 gallon diesel jerry can to the main tank. After cleaning the boat and weeding through 325 e-mails, it was time for happy hour and long chats with the several fishermen who make Dawsons Landing home for 2 or 3 weeks of salmon fishing every summer.

We spent all day cleaning the boat inside and out and preparing for the arrival of guests tomorrow. I also switched to propane tank #1 and filled up tank #3.
