The Admiral and I had a leisurely morning, although we filled up the propane tank #1 and visited the grocery store and the marine hardware store one more time. We were away from the dock at 12:35, and after topping up the diesel tank with 87 liters (22.9 gal) of diesel, we headed across to Sointula, where we tied up to the municipal dock at 14:05. The Admiral and I immediately walked into town to see what was going on; not much, after Labour Day, but it is still a lovely little community and the Co-op is going strong. “Massilia” rafted alongside about 16:30.

After a light breakfast, we all rode the courtesy bikes into town, had coffee and a muffin at Coho Joes, then bought lunches and headed east on Kaleva Road to visit The Tidal Zone Studio and Harmony Gardens Gallery. After a picnic lunch between the road and the beach, we completed the Mitchell Island Loop via Mitchell Bay Road, Back Road and Beres Road back to the harbour; about 15 miles total, half of it over unpaved roads. Lots of soar muscles and bums tonight. The Admiral was not feeling well, so we had dinner aboard and an early night.
