It rained a bit during the night and was cool in the morning so we were slow getting up. At least the rain had moved on and the sun tried to poke through. I finally finished reading “A Woman of No Importance”, about Virginia Hall, who operated behind Nazi lines in France for more than 3 years and was the OSS’s most successful agent. The anchor was aweigh by 11:30 and we headed SE into Plumper Sound toward Boundary Passage and the international border. We entered the USA waters at 12:22 and were cleared to enter via the “CBP Roam” app by 12:27; no muss, no fuss and no need to present ourselves to Officer Obie for physical inspection. As soon as we had been cleared, we turn ENE toward Matia Island. When we got to Matia, we found the one mooring ball and all the dock space already occupied. So, we turned back to Sucia, where we picked up a mooring ball in Fossil Bay at 14:45. We spent the afternoon discussing how best to make new cockpit cushions and whether or not to make back cushions. Afterwards, we went for a short walk on Sucia.
