It was a fine morning in Vancouver. After breakfast, the Admiral walked back over to Granville Market and I did a few boat chores, including installing my new stern line roller on the starboard quarter of the pushpin. We got going just before 11:00, stopping on the way our to top up the fuel tank. We motored all the way to Half-moon Bay, where we finally caught up with “Massilia”. The wind piped up and we sailed for half an hour. We decided it was a little too brisk, with 15 kn of wind behind us, to risk going into Frenchman’s Cove (very narrow entrance), so we went on round the corner to Smuggler’s Cove, where we tucked in and anchored with a line ashore at 16:50, with “Massilia” rafted alongside. We had a quiet evening and enjoyed being out of the wind.
