Another slow day in paradise. We were waked up at 07:30 by a phone call from Jo advising us that her niece Joyce had passed away from complications of Alzheimers; so sad. We finally got going about 10:40, after hearing from Langley that they do not have room for us at the dock until 4 Aug, at the earliest. So, we opted to head for Everett, where we arrived at 14:50. We immediately walked over to West Marine, where I was able to find hose and suitable fittings to add to the existing solar shower; the new hose extension will reach all the way into the shower compartment in the forward head, to reduce the mess we make. Now, if only we could find another solar shower somewhere; they are unobtanium this summer, for some reason. I also found a small block with a jamming cleat that I will fix to the dingy to improve my sailing experiences thereon (or increase the likelihood that I will capsize; one of those two). We were back at the boat to watch the Astros finish their win over Seattle, 11-4. Abraham Toro got big hits in all 3 games and was on the losing side of all three. Captain’s Hour and dinner aboard; fresh, wild King Salmon obtained from Pike Place Fish Market.
