The plan is to meet Jake at Horseshoe Bay, which is only about an hour and a quarter away, at about noon, so we took it easy for most of the morning and finally got the hook up just after 11:00. We motored slowly in the direction of Horseshoe Bay and finally heard from Jake that his ETA was going to be after 13:00. We topped up the fuel tank at Sewell’s Marina, right beside the ferry terminal, and Jake joined us at 13.25. The wind was variable going round the north end of Bowen Island, but we managed to sail about half the way to Plumper Cove. Once there, we rowed ashore and treated Jake to an ice cream at Barnabas Landing. Back to the boat in time for a quick swim (20.5 deg C water temp) before happy hour and dinner aboard. It was a beautiful, warm evening and the sunset was glorious.
