We slept in (again; it’s what we do) and woke to a (finally) clear sky and a light southerly wind. After breakfast, I spent the morning chasing an intermittent leak in the aft toilet and replaced the joker valve again, as the toilet has been backing up a bit after flushing; kinda gross. Hopefully, that is it for a while. We filled up the forward water tank and, for once, no more water appeared anywhere on the top of the tank. Then, we did another run to the grocery store and finally got away from the dock at 13:30. The wind was S-SW 8-12, so we sailed downwind under jib alone north up the San Juan Channel to the north end of Shaw Island, where we turned east into Wasp Channel and then into Harney Channel, before turning south into Blind Bay, where we dropped the anchor at 15:20. The rest of the afternoon was spent decluttering the salon - ugh!. Happy hour and dinner aboard in this lovely, quiet anchorage; beautiful sunset. We did a bit of planning and worked out some rough plans for the upcoming visits of 1) friends Jim and Robin, 2) nephew Jake and 3) daughter Ashley. After cruising around on the boat for 6 years with almost no visitors, we have suddenly become popular.
