It was gloriously quiet last night; no wind, no slap of waves against the hull, no rattling of the anchor chain across the bottom, no griping of the snubber lines against the cleats, no wind whistling through the rigging, and no squeaking of the boom swinging back and forth. So, we slept like babies for the first time since we got on the boat. Maybe summer has finally arrived. The dawn was once again clear and warm, with almost no wind. We could not go ashore at Blind Bay for a walk (all private land around), so we decided to move elsewhere. We ended up going all the way to the south end of Lopez Sound to Hunter Bay, where we anchored just after 13:00. After lunch, we rowed ashore at the nearby public dock and walked along the roads for one and a quarter hour to get in our steps. Back to the boat, the wind was up a bit to SW 10, but we are snug in this anchorage. Happy hour and dinner aboard again. Depending on the weather forecast going forward, we have now done a bit of planning for ourselves for the next nine days, until we meet Jim and Robin in Vancouver.
