We slept in again, as it was a bit cooler last night; we are like a couple of hibernating bears. At least the sun was out this morning, so it warmed up pretty quickly. We spent the morning reading and enjoying the views. About 10:30, we finally bestirred ourselves to weigh the anchor and motor a few miles over to James Island State Park, where we picked up a mooring ball just before noon. After lunch, we rowed ashore and walked all over James Island, including a climb to the top of the 270 foot high northern summit and walking the trail all the way around the southern lobe. This is a beautiful little park and only 4 or 5 miles from Anacortes. Happy hours and dinner aboard. After dinner, our neighbors on another boat entertained us with a nude photo shoot on the bench above the mooring field; you don’t see that every day.
