We enjoyed a beautiful, quiet night at Blake Island MP, and were refreshed enough to get under way just after 09:00. The wind was light again, so we motored south through Colvos Passage, looking for back-eddies to minimize the foul tidal current, and arrived at Arabellas Landing, Gig Harbor, just before noon. We immediately walked up to Tides for lunch on the deck overlooking the beautiful, totally enclosed harbor. In the afternoon, we sampled whisky and gin at Hermitage Distillers, and afterward visited the Gig Harbor Boatworks wooden boat shop and the free maritime museum; both very interesting. For dinner, we tried out El Pueblito, on the recommendation of one of our dock neighbors, but it was average at best (although the portions were HUGE); we should have known better - you can hardly ever get good Mexican food north of the Trinity River.
